I'd like to tag this, "Freedom Costs".
Most artists touch upon the heroic aspect of war - nationalism, patriotism, courage in the face of death, soldiers' guns blazing. They shy away from the cost. I wanted to emphasize that. I want to remind that lives were lost so we could live free and sleep in our beds peacefully. There are soldiers (and sometimes common people like you and me) out there in torrid, harsh, hostile places fighting to keep us safe.. under no obligation and yet they do it. This is a salute to every person on earth, fighting for the cause of keeping people all over the world safe and to allow them to live with dignity and freedom. This is a request to everyone on earth to respect the fact that freedom didn't fall from the skies, someone fought really hard and died, so that at least WE could live it. A request to not take our right to life and liberty for granted and use it responsibly.. Someone died so we could live..
